Deacons
Called to serve; the central calling of the Deacons, as described in the Presbyterian Book of Order is “to minister to those who are in need, to the sick, to the friendless, and to any that may be in distress.”
Deacons are called to serve.
-take communion to shut-ins
-phone 1st Presbyterian members & participants
-pray for needs
-visit people in hospitals
-help newcomers find a place for connection within the congregation
The Deacons meet the 2nd Sunday of every month following morning worship!
Children/Family Programs
Christian Education:
This ministry works to provide educational and spiritually enriching programs for our children and adults. This includes Sunday School as well as the following activities throughout the church year:
Children's Sabbath in October each year
Annual Christmas Program during worship in December
Vacation Bible School held during July each summer
Youth/Adult Mission Trips

Presbyterian Women
Presbyterian Women (PW) offers women in the church meaningful ways to live out their faith in the midst of a caring community of women. For more than 200 years PW groups have strengthened the Church and played a major role in sharing the good news of Jesus Christ and witnessing to the promise of God's kingdom. You are invited to become a part of this inclusive, caring community of women here at 1st Presbyterian.
Adult Bible Study
Bible studies and Home groups have been an important part of our ministry at 1st Presbyterian in the past, and are in planning stages again. Please watch the website, Church newsletter, and church bulletin for further updates soon.

Music
Sanctuary Choir
This spirited group of singers provides special music every Sunday morning during worship, September through May. New members are always welcome in this friendly group. Even if you haven't sung since high school, you can join us in praising God. Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings from 7 pm to 8:15 pm in the Church Sanctuary.
