Regulations for Use of Church Property

STATEMENT OF POLICY:

   1.  The sanctuary, fellowship hall, and kitchen and it's equipment have been provided to serve:

        *  The programs and people of the congregation.

        *   To be available to service organizations and groups subject to the following regulations and fees.

   2.  The authority of church use lies with the Session.

 

REGULATIONS:

   1.  All reservations for use of the fellowship hall, sanctuary, kitchen, equipment, and other facilities must be through the    church office and be approved by the session.

   2. The church office has been given the right to cancel reservations and rental arrangements in case of a funeral or other emergency.

   3.  Meetings must be scheduled through the church office or the minister and will be available on a first come, first serv-ed basis with the exception  that church functions will always take priority over non-church meetings and activities. Any time a meeting has been scheduled and is cancelled, the church office or minister shall be notified.

   4.  Each group that uses the building is expected to leave it in the sam,e shape at the end of the meeting as it was in the beginning. Someone from the group using hte church is responsible for:

         1)  Getting the key to unlock and lock the building.

         2)  Clean up after the meeting.

         3)  Lights off and windows closed after use.

         4)  Ensuring all toilets are flushed.

         5)  Thermostats turned to 55 before leaving (winter).

         6)  Air conditioner should be turned off.

         7)  Leave the church the way that you found it.

    5.  Groups will only use that part of the building requested. Supervisors of children's groups are responsible to keep the children from running throughout the building.....the sanctuary is off limits unless specificlly requested.

    6.   When children are present, an adult leader is expected to be in the building before their arrival and to be the last to leave the building.

    7.   Smoking is not allowed anywhere in the building. Alcoholic beverages are not allowed in the building or on the church grounds

    8.   No equipment is to be taken from the church property under any circumstances by individuals or groups unless arranged for through the session and then may only be used for church related functions. Refundable deposits are required as follows:

           a.  for tables and chairs- $200

           b.  for miscellaneous items- $50 (i.e. coffee pots)

     9.   Church facilities and equipment shall be left in the same condition as found or charges will be made.

   10.   All church organizations and groups shall have free use of the church's facilities for purposes of carrying out the church's programs. Active members of the church are to have free use of the facilities for such occasions as wedding receptions, bridal showers,and  wedding anniversary celebrations. In the event of funerals, the church facilities are available without regard to membership.

   11.   Voluntary organizations shall be permitted to use the church facilities for meetings without charge. A copy of the church facility regulations will be sent to requesting groups.

   12.   No helium balloons are to be used!!

   13.   Other community organizations may request the use of the church facilities provided the following fees are paid:

             a.  Social Hall                              $75

             b.  Social Hall and Kitchen       $125

             c.  Sanctuary                               $75

             d.  Custodial fee                         $50

A member of the church whom is familiar with the kitchen and knows how to operate the equipment must be present when the facility is used by people or organizations that are not members of the church.
